What to do right after storm damage

• Stay safe. Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof.
• Keep clear of fallen power lines and call the energy network if lines are down.
• Take photos from the ground and inside the house if it is safe to do so.
• Move valuables away from leaks and catch drips with buckets or towels.

South east Queensland gets most of its severe storms in the warmer months, often as fast moving afternoon cells with hail, heavy rain and damaging winds.
